Leeds Projects
Art Center of Design

Rated LEED Certified by
US Green Building Council
The project consists of six existing interconnected buildings that have been extensively reconstructed to produce a LEED certified structure. Through the use of low-flow fixtures the college maintains a 50% reduction in potable water consumption. Two of the main building’s rooftops were waterproofed
and landscaped to create a living roof.
This project was the first LEED certified building in Pasadena.
Debs Park Audubon Center

Rated LEED Platinum by
US Green Building Council
The center is situated on 17 acres of the 282-acre wilderness of Debs Park. This project is 100% solar powered and uses 80% less water that a conventional building of its size. Audubon functions entirely off the sanitary waste system as all water is treated on site by use of the waste water treatment systems. It has been named one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in the nation. This building was the first in the country to receive the U.S. Green Building Council’s Platinum Rating under its new rating system.
Aquarium of the Pacific

Rated LEED Platinum by
US Green Building Council
The Museum is now the largest LEED Platinum building in the world. This watershed exhibit project serves as an example of water conservation and reuse. The building uses filtration and recycling systems to purify the water pumped in from the ocean. The installation of a duplex sump pump system supplies water to a living roof with costal shrubs and grasses supplied by a hand sink at the classroom.
